What documents do I need to prepare to get a Vietnam visa?

How to get Vietnam visa?

Option 1: If you want to use a visa on arrival, you must first apply online through a travel agency so they can provide you with an approval letter (you will need to pay for the service). Then you go to the airport with that approval letter and wait in line for the staff at the visa-on-arrival counter to stamp your passport (you have to pay the $25 stamping fee).

Option 2: If you want to use an e-visa, you can apply online through a travel agency or go directly to the embassy near your residence to apply for an e-visa. You only need to pay the visa fee once, and when you arrive at the airport in Vietnam, you don’t need to wait in line to get your passport stamped, and you don’t need to pay any additional fees.
Option 3: Go directly to the embassy near your place of residence for support and to apply for a visa to enter Vietnam.

What documents are required before applying for an online visa?
Before applying for an online visa, you need to prepare some documents:
- Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Vietnam
- Passport with at least 02 blank pages
- When uploading a passport photo, the passport must be a color photo, black and white photos are not accepted.
- Documents from the airline confirming your booking (including return tickets),
- A document from the hotel that confirms your booking.

Electronic visa (E-visa):
To apply for an e-Visa online through a travel agency, you will need to prepare some documents:
- Passport valid for at least 6 months from the date of entry into Vietnam,
- Passport with at least 02 blank pages,
- Portrait photos (clear, color, not blurry, without glasses),
- When uploading a passport photo, the passport must be a color photo, black and white photos are not accepted.
Arrival at Vietnam airport:
- Original passport
- E-visa document (You should print out the document sent by the travel agency.)
